PREPARATION OF LEAD METATITANATE MONOCRYSTALS FROM PbO-B$sub 2$$O$$sub 3$- TiO$sub 2$ MELTS (in Russian)

The surface of PbO-B/sub 2/0/sub 3/-TiO/sub 2/ melt crystallizations and the properties of PbTiO/sub 2/ monocrystals were studied. Crystals of lead metatitanates were prepared by cooling PbO- TiO/sub 2/-B/sub 2/0/sub 3/ melts. The most efficieni component concentrations for the preparation of large crystals were found to be 80%(50% PbO + 50% B/sub2/O/sub 3/) + 20% PbTiO/sub and 60%(50% PbO + 50% B/sub 2/0/sub 3/) + 40%(75% PbO + 25% TiOj/sub 2/).
