The document includes nuclear science related conferences which have been assigned CONF-numbers by the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission's Technical Information Center (TIC). It includes meetings, symposia, conferences, and congresses assigned a number in the CONF- report number series from 1962 through Fall 1973. Initially the CONF- number was a simple accession number. In 1965 it was converted to a six or seven digit code with the first two digits representing the year in which the conference was held, the next two representing the month, and the last two or, occasionally, three being an accession number. This document does not replace TID-4043(Rev. 3) or TID-4044 since information on relevant conferences not assigned a CONF-number is not included. The document contains two listings: The first is a computer-produced KWIC (Key-Word-In- Context) index of the conference location and title. Location information includes city, state or comparable political unit, and country. Title information is that used in the Nuclear Science Abstracts (NSA) Report Number Index. The second listing, also produced by computer, is numerically arranged by CONF- number and provides location, date, and title information for each conference. Both listings are unedited working copies. Availability information for all entries can be found by checking the NSA Report Number Indexes or by communicating with the Publications Request Section, TIC.
