Current-carrying wire loops, attached at one point to the float. are used extensively to investigate the equilibrlum orbits in cyclotrons. The article indicates a method for finding the median plane of a magnet with the aid of such a loop. It is showm that the central point of the circle formed by the loop lies in the median plane, if the position of the float is independent of the current flowing through the loop. (auth)
