The initial stages of the development of methods of continuous ion exchange processes are described including a combination of two stage leaching and recovery of uranium in a single stage resin-in-pulp contact, elution of uranium in a continuous countercurrent column, and exhaustion of uranlum from leach liquor in the continuous countercurrent column. Test results are also presented on the effect of variables on resin loading and uranium recovery by single stsge contact for solution to resin ratios in the range of 25 to 100. (auth)
