Residential demand for electricity in New England
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4304966
The residential demand for electricity at a very detailed level of aggregation is examined. An econometric model is developed for the New England region using a cross-section of sixty-seven electric utilities and their service areas as the data base. Both supply price and demand equations are estimated, using the twostage least squares technique, to account for the simultaneous nature of the system. Conclusions are presented and policy implications discussed. Suggestions for future work in the field are also presentcd. (NTIS)
