All types of external nonstationary electromagnetic fields containing arbitrary functions which permit a complete separation of the variables in the Klein-Gordon equation by means of two differential symmetry operators of the first order and one operator of the second order are found. The curvilinear coordinates in which the variables occur are reported, and the equations in the separated variables are given. (tr-auth)
