Representation of the Dirac algebra for a lattice space--time

Journal Article · · Ann. Soc. Sci. Brux. Ser. I, v. 88, no. 1, pp. 63-70

The algebra of matrices occurring in the finite-difference Dirac equation proposed by Meessen for a cubic space--time lattice is studied. It is found that no matrix representation exists for the algebra as originally given. A slightly weaker set of relations admits an essentially unique irreducible representation of dimension 16.
