Elastic and Inelastic Scattering of Protons from Neon

The angular distributions of protons elastically scattered from He and inelastically scatternd from Ne/sup 20/ (Q = 1.63 Mev) were measured from 30 to 165 deg C in the laboratory system at bombarding energies of 4.7, 4.9, ployed for the detection of scattered particles. The distributions for the elastic scattering or protons varied markedly with the primary energies, while the five distribuiions for the inelastic scattering had roughly similar shapes.
