A cold-rolled sheet of tantalum showed a preferred orientation which may be described by the ideal orientations (100) STAO11! and (112) STA110-bar!. Two further ideal orientations of weak intensity, (111) STA112-bar! and (111) STA11O!, exist. Annealing only causes a slight intensification of the rolling texture, especially of the (111) STA112-bar!-orientation. (auth)
