As part of the collaboration between the USSR State Committee for Utilisation of Atomic Energy and the Indian Atomic Energy Commission, a joint seminar on the Theory of Fast Reactors was proposed in 1970. The Indo-Soviet Seminar is a sequel to that proposal. The papers presented during this seminar are published in these proceedings. The Soviet papers were translated at Bhaba Atomic Research Centre and edited by the members of Reactor Physics Section of Reactor Research Centre. Many of the papers were abstracted separately for the database.
