A WIDE RANGE DIRECT READING X-RAY DOSIMETER

A portable, direct-reading electrometer is described which, coupled to a 40 cm/sup 3/ ionization chamber, has been used for measuring x-ray diagnostic gonad doses and dose rates down to 0.45 mr and 0.045 mr/sec fell scale. The circuit is essentially a direct-coupled battery operated amplifier with negative feedback, and provided with pre-set compensation for component variations and chamber volume. The performance is analyzed in some detail and compared with similar circuits. (auth)
