Data are summarized from a long-range study of the comparative nutritive value of irradiated and untreated diets as denmonstrated by observations on rats and chicks. Tabulated data show the effect of an irradiated diet on reproduction, litter size, incidence of blindness, and life span of rats. Studies are reported on the effects of radiation on various combinations of casein and gelatin, biotin, and vitamins in the diet and the response of chicks to an irradiated diet. (C.H.)
