The principle parts of the superspeed oscillograph are described. Superspeed focusing was developed on the basis of the pulse thyratron ionization properties. The maximum focusing rate is 2 x lO/sup 9/ cm/sec. An electron-beam tube with a deflecting system is used as a transmission line. Pulses of approximates 5 x 10/sup -10 sec can be recorded. (tr-auth)
