Samples of praseodymium oxide were irradiated with the bremsstrahlung from the Canberra 33-Mev electron synchrotron, and the induced activities were measured with a scintillation spectrometer The measurement of the 3. 4-min. Pr/ sup 140/ produced in the ( gamma ,n) reaction is described. A similar method was used to determine the ( gamma ,2n) cross section by measuring the yield of 4.5-hr Pr/sup 139/. (A.C.)
