STATISTICAL INTERPRETATION OF EXPERIMENTAL DATA ON MULTIPLE PARTICLE PRODUCTION AT 1 TO 20 Bev (in Russian)

Experimental data are presented on the multiple production of particles in nucleon-nucleon collisions at several Bev and compared with Fermi statistical theory for multiple production of particle. The results confirm the previously made conclusion (for the p-p n-p, and plus or minus -p collisions at other energies) that the Fermi theory, with considerations for the isobar state, deiscribes satisfactorily the multiple production and pulse distributions in nucleon-nucleon and pi mesonnucleon collisions at several Bev. However, without consideration for the isobar state, the Fermi theory is not in such good agreement with experiment. It must be mentioned also, that the particle angular distributions in tho experiment were not in agreement with the Fermi predictions. (R.V.J.)
