A process for purifying metals by electrodeposition from a molten salt bath is described. The metal to be purified ls placed on the graphite anode plate in the molten salt. The cathode is made of the pure metal which is being refined. An alumina cup or other inertmaterial cup is provided at the anode to catch electrodeposited metal which does not adhere. An inert gas atmosphere is provided. (T.R.H.)
