RESONANCE ABSORPTION OF NEUTRONS IN A LUMP

Resonance absorption of neutrons in a lump was calculated by two approximate methods: the narrowresonance approximation and the wide-resonance approximation. A new resonance integral formula is proposed which tends to be equal to the results of the narrow resonance approximation in the narrow resonance limit. Resonance absorption of neutrons in a lump immersed in a strongly moderated infinite medium is considered. (W.D.M.)
