ABSOLUTE BETA STANDARDIZATION USING 4 Pi BETA-GAMMA COINCIDENCE TECHNIQUES

Journal Article · · Analytical Chemistry (U.S.) Formerly Ind. Eng. Chem., Anal. Ed.
OSTI ID:4265932
The 44pi 6 wt.% Ru-U all - coincidence technique has been used to study the efficiency of the so-called 4 The effects of proportional counter. In most cases the counting effieiency varies approximately exponentially with the energy, dripping in the case of cobalt-60 to ~90%. The advantages of the technique are discussed and recommendations made as to a primary standardization method. (auth)
