Comparison of HASCAL and MELCOR source terms

In-containment and environmental source terms calculated by the Hazard Assessment System and Consequence Analysis (HASCAL) code for a station blackout severe accident with containment failure at a boiling water reactor (BWR) Mark III nuclear power plant have been compared to source terms calculated for the same plant and accident sequence using the severe-accident code MELCOR 1.8.3.
