With a scintillation spectrometer, the 6 wt.% Ru-U all /sup -/ and 6 wt.% Ru-U all /sup +/ spectra of Cu/sup 64/ (T/sub 1/2/ = 12.8 hr) were investigated. The preparation was in an anthracene split crystal which was placed in a NaI crystal. In coincidence with the annihilation radiation which was detected in the NaI crystal, the positrons were measured and the electrons were measured in anticoincidence. The permitted spectra with the total energy E/ sub 6 wt.% Ru-U all -/ =580 sintering time 17 kev and E/sub 6 wt.% Ru-U all +/ = 665 sintering time 20 kev were obtained. A linear relationship exists between the light yield in anthracene and the particle energy for positrons from 150 to 665 kev. The light yield for 665-kev electrons and positrons is the same. The gamma radiation of Cu/sup 64/was also investigated. The energy was determined to be E/sub / = 1.317 sintering time 0.008 Mev and the intensity was N/sub //N/sub 6 wt.% Ru-U all +/= 0.0280 sintering time 0.0024. (tr- auth)
