Recent angle-scanned photoemission experiments mapping the Fermi surface on in-commensurably modulated Bi{sub 2}Sr{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 8+x} are reviewed. Previously unobserved, so called {open_quotes}shadow bands{close_quotes} have been observed and were interpreted as originating from antiferromagnetic correlations. New measurements on Pb-doped, unmodulated Bi-cuprates are presented and the relation of the {open_quotes}shadow bands{close_quotes} with structural effects is discussed.
