Methods of polarizing liquid {sup 3}He and {sup 3}He-{sup 4}He mixtures are described. Brute force polarization has been utilized in a wide variety of experiments and is especially useful for investigations of dilute {sup 3}He-{sup 4}He mixtures. Novel methods, recently developed for obtaining high polarizations in liquid {sup 3}He and {sup 3}He-{sup 4}He mixtures, are discussed. These include rapid melting of polarized solid {sup 3}He, spin distillation via circulation in a Leiden dilution refrigerator, and condensing {sup 3}He gas first polarized by optical pumping techniques at room temperature. New results obtained with highly polarized quantum fluids are described including studies of transport properties, spin waves and magnetization. Investigations of the superfluid A{sub 1} phase are also discussed.
