ACTIVITY MEASUREMENTS ON FLUX-SCANNING WIRES

Journal Article · · Nuclear Power
OSTI ID:4259503
Two ionization chambers were designed for the measurement of activation in wires, to meet flux scanning requirements in graphite-moderated reactors with core, sizes of 10 feet or more and in reactors of the heavy water type with cores about 2 feet in length. In both cases it was necessary to be able to measure flux densities over a range of about 100:1 at power levels ranging from full power to at least 10/sup -2/ of maximum power. (W.L.H.)
