Sulfur isotopes (using S0/sub 2/), carbon isotopes (using CH/sub 4/), and krypton isotopes were separated at 12 mm Hg pressure with equilibration times not exceeding 15 hours. Practically all the cascade was used for enrichment. A special evaporation condenser system regulated the cascade current and pressure. The separation coefficients obtained for various mixtures were S/sup 34/O/sub 4/- S/sup 32/O/sub 2/,1.036;S/sup 36/O/sub 2/-S/sup 32/O/sub 2/,1.957;C/sup 13/H/sub 4/C/sup 12/H/sub 14/,1.095; Kr/sup 86/-Kr/sup 84/, 1.033; Ne/sup 22/ -Ne/sup 20/, 1.16 to 1.2. The specific separation efficiency of the cascade installation was about two times higher than the efficiency of previously described similar installations. (R.V.J.)
