The nuclear characteristics of the BR-3 Reactor are discussed with respect to the core and safety consideration. The conventional equipment described are the turbine and its circuit and the alternators. Problems in the operation of the power plant are the loading and unloading of the fuel, reactor startup, and reactor shutdown andd cooling. Each are briefly described. (J.S.R.)
