The Inherent Stability of Nuclear Reactors; SUR LA STABILITE INHERENTE DES REACTEURS NUCLEAIRES

The most generalized conditions of inherent stability for homogeneous reactors are established. The nonlinear relation existing between the temperature and the reactivity is considered by taking into account the presence of six groups of delayed neutrons. The second method of A. M. Liapounoff is used to construct a function of variable of the system. The results are applied to a consideration of the inherent stability of heterogeneous reactors. (J.S.R.)
