THE DETERMINATION OF COMBINED NITROGEN IN BERYLLIUM METAL

The nitrogen is converted to ammonium chloride by dissolving the sample in hydrochLoric acid and is determined absorptiometrically after distillation of ammonia by the color produced with Nessler' s solution. The method is suitable for nitrogen contents up to 400 ppm. (auth)
