Parity non-conserving nuclear force

The effect of parity non-conserving nuclear force is studied in a deformed nucleus, 180mHf. The big nuclear structure factor of the 501 keV gamma transition in the decay of 180mHf enables one to observe a big asymmetry of 1.58 at an average temperature of 20 mK°.
