Methods of solid radioactive waste disposal at Los Alamos are described. The principal contaminant is Pu. Because of the high toxicity of this clement, it is disposed of by burial. The method is felt to be adequate for low-level alpha activity, but not for high-level betagamma radiation. (J.R.D.)
