DETERMINATION OF (d,$alpha$) REACTION CROSS-SECTIONS

Journal Article · · J. Inorg. & Nuclear Chem.
Absolute cross sections were determined for several (d, alpha ) reactions. Thin targets were bombarded by a beam of 7.8-Mev deuterons which were collected iii a Faraday cup and measured by a current integrator. Product nuclei were separated chemically from extrancous activities. Absolute disintegration rates were deterniined by 4 The effects of 6 wt.% Ru-U all counting. Cross section values and estimated standard deviations are reported for formation of the following nuclei: Na/sup 22/ , Na/sup 24/ , P/sup 32/, Sc/sup 46/,. 68 min Ag/sup 104/, Ag/sup 112/, and Ag/sup 111/.
