THE ENERGY DEPENDENCE OF POSITRON SPATIAL ASYMMETRY IN $pi$$sup +$ $Yields$ $mu$$sup +$ $Yields$ e$sup +$-DECAY

The asymmetry coefficient energy dependence was measured, and the differential spectrum of the dependence was found. Some 565 positron tracks were selected using the criterion in which the pi /sup +/ yields mu /sup +/ yields e/sup +/ decay sequence takes place in one emulsion layer, the mu /sup +/ yields e+ decay apex is not less than 100 mu from the surface of the emulsion, the positron tracks are not less than 1 mu and the mu -meson and positron track projections on the emulsion sunface form angles at 0 plus or minus 45 deg (first quadrant of the ocular scale) and 180 plus or minus 45 deg (opposite third quadrant of the scale) with the magnetic field. The obtained differential spectrum a(E) shows rapid growth with energy and agrees with the two component neutrino theory. At small energies the measurements did not find any positive asymmetry.
