TABLES FOR THE TRANSFORMATION BETWEEN THE LABORATORY AND CENTER-OF-MASS COORDINATE SYSTEMS AND FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE ENERGIES OF REACTION PRODUCTS
From a theoretical standpoint the most meaningful representation of angular distribution data is in the center-of-mass coordinate system. Tables were prepared to facilitate the transformation of such data between the laboratory and center-of-mass systems. These tables represent an extension of tables calculated previously by making available more entries and thus reducing the necessity for interpolation. In addition, an associated table is included which makes possible the calculation with relative ease of the energy of a nuclear reaction product as a function of the angle of observation in the laboratory system.
