BS>Due to necessary constraints on pressures and to the influence of pressure on reactivity, adequate dynamic analysis of a pressuried water reactor system requires an accurate description of pressurizer transients. The number of phenomena present and the shortage of experimental data tend to weaken confidence in the validity of mathematical models amenable to hand or analogue computation. For this reason PRESTO, and IBM-704 digital computer program, was developed to represent complex Pressurizer transients with a high degree of adaptability. The problem is explained and the variables noted. Computer time required for calculation is l sec per tfme step. (W.D.M.)
