THE THORIUM-APANS COMPLEX. A SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC STUDY

The complex formed from thorium and APANS STA1(o-arsonophenylazo)-2- naphthol-3: 6-disulfonic acid! was studied by the spectrophotometric method and shown to contain thorium and reagent in the ratio 1:2. The apparent stability constant of this complex was measured as 1.4 plus or minus 0.1 x 10/sup 10/. (auth)
