The L/K-capture ratio in orbital electron capture decay of Au/sup 195/ was investigated by using a measurement procedure based on coincidence techniques. It was found for the transition to the 128 kev level of Pt/sup 195/: P.sub L/ P.sub K = 5.5 plus or minus 0.9 which corresponds to a transition energy of 106 kev. In addition a determination of the half-life of Au/sup 195/ and of the K conversion coefficient of the 97 kev transition was made. It was obtained T 1/2 = (192 plus or minus 5) d and alpha /sub K/ = 8.4 plus or minus 0.5. The proposed decay scheme agrees quite well with previous results. (auth)
