Expiments were made to examine the efficiency of photon transmission through a truncated Umaplex (Czechoslovak Plexiglass) light conductor and to measare dislocation of pulse heights on the outlet of the scintillating sound. The principal characteristics of the detector e.g., plateau, background, and local detection efficiency, were meassured on a prototype of the Czechoslovak photonsiltiplier 61 PK 411.
