S>The elastic scattering of 2- to 4-Mev polarized neutrons by carbon, deuterons, heavy elements, and light elements, and the inelastic scattering of 15- Mev neutrons are discussed. In an eifort to improve the detection techniques for neutrons in scattering experiments, a directional neutron counter was built, and this counter is described. The results of a study of the precession of the neutron magnetic moment in the interior of a ferromagnet are also presented. (auth)
