Elemental tritium is shipped at low pressure in a stainless steel container (LP-50) sealed within an aluminum vessel and surrounded by Celotex® insulation at least 4 in. thick in a steel drum. Each package contains a large quantity of nonfissile. Group VII material, as defined in ERDAM 0529, and complies with appropriate sections of that manual. No exemptions are claimed.
