Recent developments of multilayer polychromators for a broad SXR/EUV spectral range illustrated with results on radiation parameters of different plasmas are reported. The instrumentation was applied for time resolved spectrally selective radiometry of pulsed and quasi-stationary plasmas. New results have been obtained on absolute radiation yield of laser and vacuum spark plasmas, on physics of a pinch-on-wire plasma configuration and on multicharged ions transport in a tokamak plasma. Versatile applicability for the multilayer polychromators for plasma radiometry and spectroscopy has been demonstrated.
