IGNITRON FIRING

Information regarding ignitron firing circuitry is reported. The theory of cathode spot formation and arc mechanism is also discussed. Triggering methods are examined with regard to jitter and delay in arc formation and the interaction of the anode and ignitor circuits is illustrated by an equation which defines the capability of a firing system.
