CORROSION RESISTANCE OF CD4MCu STAINLESS STEEL IN REACTOR-RELATED ENVIRONMENTS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4227067
CD4MCu steel, either as cast or in the rolled and heattreated condition, is as resistant to corrosion in uranyl sulfate solutions as cast or wrought type 347 stainless steel under either static or dynamic conditions at temperatures as high as 300 deg C. Furthermore, CO4MCu appears to be more resistant to stress- corrosion cracking in most chloride-containing environments than type 347 stainless steel. Further testing of this alloy in experimental engineering equipment is recommended. (auth)
