THE CAPTURE CROSS-SECTION OF $sup 197$Au FOR FAST NEUTRONS
The fast neutron activation cross sections for Au-197 were measured at 150 plus or minus 15, 550 plus or minus 30, and 1000 plus or minus 30 kev energies, giving values of 270 plus or minus 18, 118 plus or minus 8, and 97 plus or minus 13 mb, respectively. The values depend on absolute beta counting and the variation of hydrogen cross section with energy. (auth)
