RESONANCE ENERGIES FOR PROTON CAPTURE. I. MAGNESIUM (in German)

Journal Article · · Z. Naturforsch
OSTI ID:4226412
Using a stabilized electronic cascade generator, the following resonance energies for proton capture were determined on thick Mg targets of natural isotopic composition: Mg/sup 24/(p, gamma )Al/sup 25/ (223.0 plus or minus 0.5 and 419.1 plus or minus 0.7 kev), 496.5 plus or minus and for Mg/sup 26/(p, gamma )Al/sup 27/ (292.2 plus or minus 0.8, 338.1 plus or minus 0.5, 453.8 plus or minus .5,aand 662.1 plus or minus 1.0 kev). The energies were determined from measurements with a voltage divider calibrated by the 504.5 plus or minus 0.3 and 506.5 plus or minus 0.3 kev resonances of the Al/sup 27/(p, gamma )Si/sup 28/ reaction. The experimental width at half maximum intensity of the resonances studied amounted to 200 to 500 ev. (tr-auth)
