The positioner includes a spur gear and rack for adjusting the control rod slowly and in small ainounts as well as a piston and cylinder for moving the control rod rapidly thrcugh larger distances. The positioner also has associsted with it a worm wheel and gear for rotating it out of engagement with the control rod.
