A debuncher magnet arrangement with a total deflection of zero, in which the beam optics will vary as little as possible, was proposed. Beams of various energies undergo transit time variations. Errors in the system are caused by lens effect in the perpendicular direction through the leakage field for beams with pulse deviations, aperture and chromatic errors, and errors which originate in construction tolerances. These sources of error are discussed. (J.S.R.)
