EXCITATION AND ABSORPTION SPECTRA OF PHOSPHORS WITH VARIOUS ANIONS OF ACTIVATING ADMIXTURES (in Russian)

S>The main and supplementary absorption spectra and excitation spectra of visual and ultraviolet luminescence of phosphors (KCl + PbCl/sub 2/, KCl + PbBr/sub 2/, KCl + PbI/sub 2/, KBr + PbCl/sub 2/, KBr + PbBr/sub 2/, and KBr + PbI/sub 2/) containing various anions of activating Pb are investigated. The wave length of the maximum absorption bands and luminescence excitation bands are tabulated and spectral curves are plotted. It is shown that after x irradiation the intensity of absorption and excitation bands diminishes due to the reduced number of Pb/sup 2+/ centers. (R.V.J.)
