The nuclear orientations of Hg/sup 201/ and Hg/sup 199/ were obtained by optical pumping. The magnetic moments mu /sub 201/ and mu /sub 199/ were measured. Their ratio mu /sub 201/ mu /sub 199/=1.10741 plus or minus 1) indicates the existence of a hfs anomaly. (tr-auth)
