THE SENSITIVITY OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM TO LOW RADIATION DOSES (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Meditsinskaya Radiologiya (U.S.S.R.) For English translation see Med. Radiol., USSR
OSTI ID:4215980
Data are presented on the sensitivity of the nervous system to radiation. It is shown that the action of ionizing radiation on the nervous system, even in very low doses, could accumulate and, thus, create long-term alternative processes. On the basis of the facts the authors presume that the limits of sensitivity of the nervous system to radiation and the extent of its alternative action, as a result of reparation processes, may not coincide.
