METHODE ET APPLICATION AUX NOYAUX $sup 10$Be, $sup 10$B, $sup 14$C, $sup 14$N, $sup 40$Ca
The order of multipolarity of electromagnetic nuclear transitions was measured by the determination of the angular correlation of internal conversion pairs. The transitions studied were 3.37 Mev of Be/sup 10/, 3.58 (3.58 Mev-0.72 Mev) and 2.86 Mev of B/sup 10/, 6.09 Mev of C/sup 14/, The models used for these nuclei are briefly discussed. The formation of material pairs is analyzed theoretically. The experimental techniques for the measurement of the angular correlations are given. The angular moments of some excited levels of the nuclei were determined from the order of multipolarity. Some of the angular moments can be interpreted by the theory of intermediate coupling, whereas the 3.35-Mev level of Ca/sup 40/ is considered in the framework of doubly magic nuclei. (J.S.R.)
