Title: PRELIMINARY HAZARDS SUMMARY REPORT. VOLUME III. PART B. LICENSE APPLICATION

The conceptual design of the Parr Shoals Power Reactor will be, to a large degree, the result of an extensive research and development program now in progress. As a result the accidents and hazards studied should be considered as preliminary and subject to change. The principal inherent characteristics discussed which contribute to the safety of the proposed plant are nuclear stability, fuel element integrity, primary coolant system integrity, and containment.
